Biography

Rachael Elizabeth Conisbee has been writing for eight years. She has one published novel under her belt, three children's stories and eighteen factual and fiction commissions for TopThat! Kids children's publisher. So far, the following titles have been published and are available from good bookstores, WHSmiths and on Amazon.co.uk :Spot-it Birds, Dressing up Rock Stars, Disco Divas and Pop Princesses, Dressing up Fairies, Princesses and Ballerinas and Mini Crime Scene Kit, Kittens and Cats, Puppies and Dogs, Goldilocks, Jacqueline Wilson Best Friend Kits (x 3), Mini Beasts, Animal Giants and Bubbletastic.

Rachael also writes for the film industry magazine British Cinematographer.

Rachael doesn't have an agent, but will be actively looking for one in the coming months.

Discussions are already in their preliminary stages with regards to a feature film project based on the novel, Running out of time. Watch this space for more info on that as soon as we have it!

Some Facts About Rachael

Favourite places in the world: Runswick Bay in North Yorkshire, where the cover shot of the novel ‘Running out of time' was taken, Port Mulgrave and Cornwall , on my godparent's farm. Winter time, helping to feed the cattle is a joy!

Favourite food: Anything her Dad cooks for her. Especially fish fingers, frozen garden peas and Dad's homemade chips!

Favourite tipple: Jamesons and Guinness. Thought more recently have developed a palate for Abbot's Ale.

Favourite people: Mum, Dad and sister (Yamee!) Rebecca Jane....and Lily the staffie!x

Best friend: After Mum of course (then Dad and Becca!), Lee Calladine, Lizzie Christie and Ali the Viking!

Loves and losses: Loved and lost twice…them's the breaks!

Miss daily: Nana Lil

Dislikes: Bullies (I still remember those of you from my school days and more recently as an adult, dog poo on the pavement and judgmental individuals).
